Wine & Gastronomy Tours

Learning about wine is never more enriching than on site where the wines are produced in their native climate and soil. Each year, Dr. Juge provides expert guidance in wine education to those who plan ahead and sign up for UCF's wine and gastronomy tours. What goes best with wine? Great food. In summer, students embark on tour of Tuscany, Italy where they learn not only about pairing food and wine, but how to create some of the famous dishes for that region.

Students may also experience France such as Epernay in the Champagne Region and visit the historic Hautvilliers abbey and museum, where Dom Perignon is credited with discovering Champagne in the XVIIth century. Or how about visit to where history and art meet food and wine in Burgundy, such as in the historic Hospice d'Beaune and the beautiful Clos d'Vougeot vineyard and monastery. Next year will include the region of Provence so plan to participate early to get your spot in the tour.
