NACE@UCF Helps Make Record Food Donation

The National Association of Catering Executives student chapter, NACE@UCF, recently helped the UCF Alumni Association gain national media attention from raising 3,266 pounds of food for UCF's Knights Helping Knights Food Pantry. It was the largest donation in the history of Knights Pantry.
The chapter's faculty advisor, Dr. Mary Jo Ross, encouraged NACE@UCF and students in her classes to give. She shares "The response was overwhelming - we rocked the Alumni Center."

Students Make Donation to Local Food Bank
|
For the fourth year in a row, Dr. H.G. Parsa and Instructor Peder Hagglund encouraged their students to bring non-perishable food items to class.
This year, over 520 pounds of food were collected for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Student volunteers made the delivery of the important gift.
